30 days, 30 tracks, one opportunity
Calling emerging music artists, aged 16-25…
Over 30 days in November, 30 emerging artists from across the UK will work with some of the biggest names in the music industry to record their tracks in the EMI/PRSF Live Music Studio at London’s Roundhouse.
All selected tracks created throughout November will be compiled for the 30/30 Album 2012, released by Roundhouse Records and available to buy via iTunes, with proceeds helping to create further arts opportunities for young people.
The selected acts will also have the chance to put their questions to a panel of experts from all areas of the music industry at a special event in December, followed by a performance at the new music festival, Roundhouse Rising, in February 2013.
This year’s project sees new partnerships with Newcastle-based Generator, the UK’s leading music development agency, and Cornwall’s music download site Livewire. Both companies will help by sourcing acts to participate and provide recording opportunities in their local areas.
30/30 is non-genre specific and aims to attract an eclectic variety of artists.
The submission deadline is 1 October 2012. Application details can be found at www.roundhouse.org.uk/3030, which also has previous 30/30 albums available for listening.
