John Tait - Commercial Leadership Associate
John Tait grew up on a farm but always knew that he didn't want to go into the family business. After attending a careers fair he took part in a 10 week internship at Standard Life, which resulted in him being offered a place on Standard Life's Graduate Training scheme after leaving university. He loves the flexibility of the Graduate scheme and enjoys working with different departments.

Jenny Davis - Customer Services Representative and Semi-Pro Cyclist
Jenny works on the 'front line' at Standard Life helping customers get the right service. She has an interest in marketing and hopes to move over to a more focused role in the future. She's enjoyed sports from a very young age and cycling is something that she's always been passionate about. She'd loved to get to the 2012 Olympics and the 2014 Commonwealth Games and is training six days a week to get there. Standard Life have sponsored her in her cycling career.

Kirsten Lamb - Strategic Change Consultant
Kirsten initially worked in the tourism industry both in the UK and abroad initially but then joined Standard Life on their Graduate Programme. Working overseas was great fun but she felt that it was a good move to go home and start to develop her career. She worked at hard at school but new she wanted to get somewhere in life and realised that working hard would help her get where she wanted to be in the future.

Sandy MacDonald - Senior Public Affairs Manager
Sandy MacDonald was initially encouraged by his parents to study Biology and although he decided to study it at The University of Edinburgh, he felt that it wasn't for him. His first job was with a London publishing company but he felt he wanted to return to Edinburgh. He joined Standard Life on a temporary contract in the Marketing team and realised that it brought together his passion for writing and communications.
