Environmental work
Small and local businesses and voluntary organisations make up a significant proportion of employers offering careers in the environmental sector covering conservation, ecology, biodiversity and sustainability. There isn’t a typical entry level to environmental jobs and volunteering can be a way to get some experience to help you stand out from the crowd. It is a growing sector, as the awareness of environmental issues increases, and it is predicted that more than 25,000 new employees will be needed in this sector in the next five years.
