Terms and Conditions – icould Competition
1. This Competition is organised by icould and Jagex Ltd.
These terms and conditions together with any specific rules detailed in Competition Briefings are the Competition Rules (“Rules”) and apply to the following sites: www.jagex.com, www.runescape.com, www.funorb.com and www.icould.com, unless otherwise expressly stated. By entering this Competition, entrants agree to be bound by these Rules.
2. This Competition is open to residents of the UK, Channel Islands and Isle of Man aged 13 years or over who are currently studying at a recognised institute of education within the UK, except for employees of Jagex Ltd, icould, their families or anyone else associated with this Competition.
3. All information detailing how to enter this Competition forms part of these terms and conditions. It is a condition of entry that all rules are accepted as final and that entrants agree to abide by these rules. The decision of the judges is final and no correspondence will be entered into. Submission of an entry will be taken to mean acceptance of these terms and conditions.
In the event of any discrepancy between these terms and conditions and any other explanations given elsewhere, these terms and conditions shall prevail.
4. Entering the Competition
Email entries
Competition entries should be attached to an email and submitted to mailto:icould@jagex.comEntries must conform to the following specifications:
Graphics- 2D images should be saved as high quality JPEGs at a minimum resolution of 72 dpi. We recommend a screen resolution of 1068 x 768. Individual files should be no larger than 5 mb. No more than 6 images/files per entry.
3D modelling/animation videos should be saved as files compatible for playback with Windows Media Player (.asf, .wma, .wmv, .wm). Video length should be no greater than 1 minute.
Audio- Audio files should be saved as a high quality MP3. The total track length should be no greater than 4 minutes.
Writing- Game briefs must be saved as a Microsoft Word document. Briefs must be no greater than 1,000 words in length.

Postal entries must conform to the following specifications:
Graphics- 2D images should be ideally rolled and sent in a postal tube or in a card-backed envelope if they are size A4 or smaller. Images should be no larger than A3 in size and postal tubes should not exceed 40 cms in length. Images may also be written to either a CD or DVD – for file specifications please refer to the graphics section for email entries. No more than 6 images per entry.
3D modelling/animation videos should be written to either a CD or DVD, (whichever is more suitable), and must be viewable with Windows Media Player. Video length should be no greater than 1 minute.
Audio- Audio files should be written to either a CD or DVD for playback compatible with Windows Media Player. The total track length must be no greater than 4 minutes.
Writing- Game briefs must be word processed. Briefs must be no greater than 1,000 words in length.
All entries (whether postal or email) must include the entrant’s name, address and either a valid email address or contactable telephone number.
All entries must be received by the advertised closing date.
5. All entries submitted must be the work of the individual submitting them and must not have been previously published elsewhere. It is the responsibility of each entrant to ensure that any work they submit does not infringe the copyright of any third party or any laws. Entrants must warrant that the entries they are submitting is their own work and that they own the copyright for it.
6. Copyright of all items submitted for this Competition remains with the respective entrants. However, in consideration of their providing the Competition, each entrant grants a worldwide, irrevocable, perpetual licence to Jagex Ltd and icould to feature any or all of the submitted work in any of their publications, their websites and/or in any promotional material connected to this Competition.
7. Only one entry per person will be accepted for each of the three available categories. Late, illegible, incomplete, defaced or corrupt entries will not be accepted. No responsibility can be accepted for lost entries and proof of transmission will not be accepted as proof of receipt. Entries must not be sent through agencies or third parties. Group entries will not be considered.
Winners
8. The winning entries will be judged by a panel of experts at Jagex Ltd. The winners will be notified within seven days of the closing date of the Competition.
9. There will be one winner for each of the three entry categories: graphics, audio and creative writing.
Each of the three winners will be invited to the Jagex Games Studio to spend a day’s work experience with a team of Jagex staff members who work within their entry field. The full itinerary will be sent to the winners after the close of the Competition and before the prize day.
The winners may be required to take part in publicity.
10. Winners who are under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian who is over 18 years of age. If necessary, the winners must seek permission of absence from their institute of education in order to claim their prize.
11. Jagex Ltd. will agree to pay all reasonable associated costs for the winners (and parents/guardians if applicable) including transportation, accommodation (if required) and meals. All prizes are non-transferable and there are no alternate prizes available.
12. Events may occur that render the Competition itself or the awarding of the prizes impossible due to reasons beyond the control of Jagex Ltd. and icould. If such an event occurs, Jagex Ltd. and icould reserve the rights to amend the Competition at their discretion and the entrant agrees that no liability shall attach to Jagex Ltd. and icould as a result thereof.
