Vue Entertainment is one of the UK’s leading cinema developers and operators of multiplex cinemas in the UK. The Vue brand and company was launched onto the UK market in 2003 with 38 cinemas. Since then, Vue’s UK & Ireland circuit has grown to 68 cinemas with 657 screens with over 140,000 seats.

Vue have been an extremely supportive partner to icould. Not only does icould feature a large variety of roles within the cinema industry, Vue have also supported icould users through a number of competitions and work taster experiences. Vue have gone above and beyond a traditional partnership by offering advertising space in kind across all of their cinema screens for an icould trailer and the use of their cinemas for icould events.

Rob M - Film Buying Manager

Rob M is in charge of the film buying team at Vue cinemas. He started working in cinemas as a casual job while he was at university studying computers. He enjoyed the work so much he stayed in that sector and became a cinema manager. He had to wait a few years for the coveted position of film buyer to come up.

Charlie C - Marketing Executive

Charlie C is a Local Area Marketing Executive for Vue Cinemas. She organises promotional events and advertising for the 35 Vue Cinemas in the north of the country. She had a good job managing a pub and applied for a job at Vue just for practice at applications. But she got a job as a cinema manager and doesn't regret changing sectors. "I've just started and my head is buzzing with loads of ideas of I want to do this, I want to do this but I'm still really learning this side of it so I've got to take some time, learn as much as I can and then you can go off into any field."

Phil D - Merchandising Manager

Phil D is a Merchandising Manager for Vue Cinemas. "My job is to understand and develop the customer journey throughout our cinemas so when they enter our sites, they know exactly where they need to go, where to buy a ticket, where to buy food." After abandoning his degree course he worked his way up in the DIY retail sector, then moved to Vue to do a similar job.
