As part of a series exploring careers at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, we take a look at social regeneration charity ELBA.
The East London Business Alliance (ELBA) is a registered charity and membership organisation that works to bring about positive change in east London. By connecting the public, private and voluntary sectors, it has been enabling successful partnerships between business and the community for over 25 years.
In the past year, ELBA helped place over 700 people into work in east London through its employment programme, delivered over 12,000 business volunteers into the community, and worked with over 280 local organisations in east London.
ELBA and the park
ELBA’s London Legacy 2020 scheme was designed to secure lasting benefits from the 2012 Games for east London communities. The scheme provided training and development and helped local people into work, from entry-level roles to graduate opportunities, and also included sport and cultural projects.
