Did you know apprenticeships can open the door to careers in management and professional services?
As well as being the standard route to craft, technician and trade jobs, some apprenticeships now offer entry to professional roles, providing an alternative pathway to careers more traditionally followed by graduates.
So if you feel that university is not for you or if you’re just keen to start working life, then why not consider a Higher Apprenticeship?
Higher Apprenticeships follow the same principles as all apprenticeships – combining a real job with training so you earn while you learn, develop practical job-related skills, and work towards recognised qualifications. For Higher Apprenticeships this means studying at Level 4 and beyond.
And with over 40 different subjects available, from commercial airline piloting to accountancy and legal services, there could be something to suit you.
Some schemes even offer the option to progress to degree-level courses and sponsored study through university. Following the apprenticeship route to higher education may take longer and give you less choice of courses than if you applied with A-levels, but instead of student debt you’ll have money in your pocket , valuable work experience, and your foot firmly on the career ladder.
