What is an RSS news feed?
RSS is otherwise known as Really Simple Syndication or Rich Site Summary.

RSS is an easy way of delivering website content straight to you as soon as it’s available. It helps you save time by automatically letting you know when there’s an update of information from our website. Some other websites offer the same service.

The RSS news feed goes straight to your computer desktop as text and links, which will take you to the latest publication of your choice.

The RSS icon is an orange box with two white curved lines and a white dot in the bottom left-hand corner. Look out for this icon on our website.

To get started, you will need a news reader.

How do I get an RSS news reader
A news reader is a piece of software that helps you to gain information via RSS feeds from our website.

You can choose from a number of different types of news reader. The majority are free to use. Some are accessed using a browser or you can download them.

Go to a search engine and type in ‘free RSS readers’ to find a news reader that is compatible with your computer. You will find web applications, desktop software, as well as mobile/tablet apps.

Once you have a news reader, you are ready to subscribe to our RSS news feed. Some news readers need you to drag (or copy & paste) the feed’s web address (URL) into the reader, but some will pick up the feeds for you when you click on a recognised RSS feed URL.

Our RSS news feed URL is linked at the top of this page.

Please note: always follow the instructions for your particular news reader.
