0:00:02 My name is Mariusz Rozychi. I’m from Poland but now I live in England and work for E.ON company as a district heating systems designer. It’s a job that’s quite new in England because in England there is no big heating system. All are individual. I work, I work to design such systems with one big source of heat, of energy and the pipelines which deliver heat to each property.
00:00:41 Mathematics and physics were my favourite subjects at school although I was good at each subject but these were my favourite ones. At school I always thinking about technical subjects and that’s why I decided to go to the technical university and to wider my knowledge and then I used what I learned in my job. It wasn’t a very difficult decision because I loved to do this and that’s why I decided to learn this subject.
00:01:27 I finished technical university in Warsaw in an energy faculty and after finishing my study, I started to work in this district heating company as a heating coordinator and heating designer.
00:01:46 I arrived here in August last year but my family has been living here from three years and I joined them after two years. We decided over a few years ago to try a new life in a new area. We always loved travelling all over the Europe. We visited almost every country in the Europe so it is not difficult for us to find ourselves in the new town, in the new country.
00:02:23 At the beginning when I arrived in England, I found it difficult to find a job. I was looking for a job for many months and in this time I thought about changing my job, my qualifications to find something different but fortunately E.ON company found me. Not I found this company, but they found me. They needed such a person and they found me and I joined this company.
00:03:01 I think everything what I did during my life, I decided about it. But of course the family always supported me. Of course now there is my wife and my daughter, the most important persons in my life and they influence on what I do. I always decide to do everything best for my family.

- Measures and cuts required lengths of copper, lead, steel, iron, aluminium or plastic using hand or machine tools;
- Installs fittings such as storage tanks, cookers, baths, toilets, taps and valves, refrigerators, boilers, radiators and fires;
- Tests completed installation for leaks and makes any necessary adjustments;
- Attaches fittings and joins piping by welding, soldering, cementing, fusing, screwing or other methods;
- Repairs burst pipes and mechanical and combustion faults and replaces faulty taps, washers, valves, etc.
